Single Audit

Definition

A federally required audit for state and local governments, nonprofits, and other entities that spend $750,000 or more in federal awards in a given year. It combines an audit of the organization's financial statements with an audit of its federal program compliance, governed by the Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200).
