Form 941 is the IRS Employer's Quarterly Federal Tax Return, used by employers to report wages paid, federal income tax withheld, and both the employer and employee shares of Social Security and Medicare taxes. It must be filed four times per year and is accompanied by required federal tax deposit deadlines throughout the quarter. Errors or missed deposits on Form 941 obligations can trigger IRS Failure to Deposit penalties.
